At Night

At night I dream
of the sound
of Your voice
of sleeping in
Your arms

At night I pray
that you are
safe
that you dance
in the moonlight

At night I remember
the laughter we
shared
the friendship
the love

At night I pretend
that you are
still there
that you
still care

At night I hope
that my slumber
continues
that I can hold you
forever

At night all
things are possible
and then I wake
to the cold
light of day
